Kate’s interests range from math to dance via language, and currently teaches math (Geometry, Algebra II, Finite Math, and SAT Math) at the Beekman School, as well as special topics such as Mathematical Economics in The Tutoring School. She believes in the value of a well-rounded education throughout high school and beyond, and enjoys helping students find and nurture their autonomy. She is an advocate of the “flipped” classroom, in particular as a way to encourage individual initiative in learning.
