The Beekman School offers a variety of summer math programs for high school students in New York City. Completing core math classes is essential to graduation and can be a key to future academic success. Our full summer session, which is held in July and August, allows students to complete:
- Algebra I
- Geometry
- Algebra II/Trigonometry
- Precalculus (through The Tutoring School)
- Calculus (through The Tutoring School)
In taking these sequential courses, students can meet grade level requirements and obtain additional credit in mathematics, which is transferable. During the summer, students at our college preparatory high school have the opportunity to repeat necessary classes or complete the next course in a subject series. Young adults planning to pursue a math- or science-related degree program may want to focus on a summer school math curriculum that helps them advance more quickly toward this goal.
Enrollment for our summer math classes for high school students begins in June. History, science, and English courses are also available during this timeframe. All classes meet for two hours daily Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m., for six weeks.
