Required credits can be earned through our high school summer science programs in NYC. The summer chemistry and biology courses offered by The Beekman School include lab work and satisfy core academic high school requirements. These science classes meet Monday through Thursday for six weeks in July and August. By attending summer science classes, high school students are able to retake a complete course or accelerate their educational plans. Credits earned through any of our summer high school science courses are transferable to other schools. As a private New York high school, we are committed to helping students reach and surpass challenging benchmarks in math and science.
Our 24-day, regular summer session includes 9th, 10th, and 11th grade classes in English, history, math, and science. First period begins at 8:30 a.m., and the last period of the day ends at 5:45 p.m. Each class meets daily, Monday through Thursday, for two hours.
High School Science Classes Offered During the Summer
The Beekman School offers high school science classes during the summer for students in standard, gifted, and remedial programs. Students needing to complete coursework in a specific science class may have the opportunity to finish this content during a summer mini-session.
Full math and science courses can also be taken on a flexible schedule through The Tutoring School. By participating in our summer high school tutoring programs in New York City, students can receive individualized assistance in mastering scientific concepts. Both private and semi-private science sessions are available. Parents should also contact us if a student needs to complete summer high school English, math, or history classes on a variable schedule.
