You’re in high school—hurray!  It feels like a huge accomplishment to get through your first day (and it is—go you!), but there are some things to keep in mind as you start at a new school.

Once you’ve sent in your applications and are starting to receive acceptance letters, you’re done, right?  Wrong!  Now you need to prepare yourself for what to expect in high school.  And there’s plenty of work to be done there.

So you’re starting high school next year.  For some, that means that you need to look for a new school.  There are so many things to consider: Will I like the other kids?  Can I be on the debate team and the soccer team?  Do they let freshman have roles in the spring play?  But you may not
